If the Mayans were so smart why were they conquered so easily? They could not predict that event, so why think they might do so for anything else.

PbrbrI think the world is going to end, but not for a few billion years most likely. I think we might go extinct in the next million though. We are not showing a great track record at self preservation unfortunetly.
